Baptism - Sunday Evening

Our belonging to Christ

During the evening, those present would come to understand and experience the truth of God's love for them; that He knows them by name and desires to share His life with them.

We focussed on baptism as a life changing encounter with the Lord.

The general format of each evening was:
Songs of Praise singing favourite hymns previously selected by the congregation,
A testimony where one of us talked for a few minutes about our love of God as they have experienced Him.
A reading from 'Rule for a New Brother'.
A prayer (written by us).
A short chorus or motet, "Spirit of the Living God".
Then the teaching by the missioner.
